My Story: From Uncertainty to Purpose in Jesus

My Beginnings

I was born in a humble little town in Venezuela, the fifth of ten children. Our family was very poor, but my parents taught us invaluable values: hard work, responsibility, and the importance of studying, even when resources were almost nonexistent.

At 12 years old, I left home to go to the city of Barquisimeto to study for my high school diploma. I lived with my older sister, but a mixture of frustration and rebellion grew in my heart. It hurt to see how others had what I couldn't have. That material lack became an emotional wound. At home, I became rebellious; at school, I was shy and insecure. Although I got good grades and dreamed of becoming a professional to help my family, I felt empty.

The Encounter with God

Since I was 10 years old, one of my brothers, Aristides, had accepted Christ and sometimes spoke to me about God. After finishing high school, my desire to continue studying remained strong, but I had no money. It was then that Aristides got me a temporary job at a company whose owners were Christians, and they helped and encouraged me to study, to have faith, to keep going. For the first time, I saw a spark of hope; but I still felt very uncertain about what the future held for me and didn't know how to move forward.

One day, at a small gathering at work, someone shared a short message from the Bible about God's love and our need for Him. At the end, they asked if anyone wanted to pray to receive Christ. At that moment, something stirred within me. I felt that this invitation was for me. With humility and an open heart, I raised my hand and prayed, "God, if You truly exist, I receive You. Please help me." I will never forget what I felt afterward: a peace I had never experienced before and a profound joy that didn't come from circumstances, but from the very depths of my being.

The Purpose in Christ

From that day on, my life began to change. I started reading the Bible, praying, and sincerely seeking God. Little by little, my insecurities began to fade, and my vision of the future was filled with hope. I graduated from university with two degrees while working and serving as a volunteer missionary in the church. Later, I earned my bachelor's degree in Theological Studies. God was guiding me, shaping me, and preparing me.

Over time, I clearly understood my purpose: to glorify God with my life. He has blessed me with a beautiful family, professional achievements, and above all, with the call to pastoral ministry. Today, I continue to serve the Lord with passion and gratitude because He remains faithful every day.
